I walk the trail
Many walked before me
What do I see
That other's did not see
The leaves are falling all around
Falling to the ground
And even though they fall in silence
I hear their echo in my ears
"It's fall!" they cry and in despair.
"Winter will be here!"
The trees will stand there
Oh so barren
And we, we will just fade away
Wind and weather will make
us disappear
But in the spring
The burgeons will wake
And bring new life
and trees will bloom again
Life reborn
I walk the trail
The leaves still with me
I hear their whispers in my ears
"And you, you lovely, what is it that brings you here?"
I think and smile
"A lonely walk to clear my thoughts
To free my mind
Yet crystal clear it is to me
That your spirit is always near
No matter what I try and do
I'll always be in love with you!"
I whisper to the leaves and walk on...
I give you a call
"I'm out here on the trail,
the trail you showed to me in spring!"
Come join me, I know it's just your thing!
The leaves are calling
