I CAN'T EXPRESS IT JUST WITH WORDS

I can't express it just with words

I want to touch you with my love

The love that comes to me in dreams

And when I wake they fade to grey

I want to lay my head to bed

To rest and dream of you again



When I do sleep you hold me tight

Always through the whole long night

Yet when I wake it’s like a fright

You're not here to hold me like before

Though I do long for you some more

And wish my dream would last for evermore



I know right now it cannot be reality

Though perhaps another day or year

Long gone yesterday, fading thoughts

Yet the dreams of you persist, un-lost

Nothing stronger does in my soul exits

There we are, we float in space Light-years away



Yet looking deeply in to our eyes

as we touch hold hands, in space we fly

And it is Time that holds us close

Because we come from long ago

When stars burst free and set us loose

Paths cross Time would forever choose



For us to meet from time to time

From life to life, intertwined

Dreams we've lived not long ago

Yesterday, is it really gone…?

Though this love can never fade

Perhaps one day I shall awake



Always in my heart you keep

Mingling in my soul so deep

There's something sacred about this dream

That comes at Night, Day fades to grey

And yet when light diminishes

Again appears your shadow here



Yet the dream stays… even tomorrow
